The worse teachers in the world will give their students every answer needed for successfully progressing through a course. Unfortunately, the author discovered that this was the only means for surviving in his few teaching roles in American institutions of "higher education". This journey, which ended in a disappointing decades worth of adjunct teaching at different schools, began with those "fanciful thought expeditions" on evenings, weekends, and during lulls in note-taking during high-school physics and mathematics courses. As thirst for an understanding of a topic beyond what he was simply handed resulted in personal investigation of a subject, occasionally flawed and, at times, enlightening. And, in retrospect, he knew a few teachers who left certain questions unanswered, gave subtle signals for further study, make erroneous statements looking for a rebuttal from students who should have spotted such an obvious mistake, and posed the possible and impossible, simply so bright, rebellious teenagers and twenty-somethings would accept the challenge of becoming self-learners. One such "teaching moment" was the mention of the thematic parallels between King and Captain Ahab, those elements of randomness in Queequegs weaving, and that classic sentence, "Call me Ishmael.". When considering Biblical family lineages, the teaching about Jacob, Esau, a bowl of Lentils, Isaac's final blessing for his eldest son, and the Book of Obadiah, it became apparent that if one is really interested in learning about something or someone he will. He will not require "force-feeding". It does not mean that he will recount the savoriness of each and every meal, but he will feed himself.
Unfortunately, in the course of using such a teaching technique coupled with teachers who will not tolerate being questioned and students afraid of stating a "single" question that challenges an instructor's comments for fear of receiving a demerit, dysfunction has occurred. No one will dare look beyond the boundaries set in learning. Well, this or that authority on this or that subject said this or that. If the security of your entire life's savings depended upon the advise given by an authority, advise that seemed very questionable; Would you seek other sources for supporting or debunking his statements, whether you openly disagreed with him or not.
Eagles | Zoom
Fly like an eagle across the sea...Fly like an eagle..May your Holy Spirit carry me...
I dream of...
Flying like an eagle across the sea...Flying like an eagle..May your Precious Spirit carry me...
A simple hook..
How about a new Zoom....a re-make of the Commodores hit.
I may be just a foolish dreamer
But I don't care
'Cause I know my happiness is waiting
Way up there
But I don't care
'Cause I know my happiness is waiting
Way up there
I'm searching for that Golden Strand
Horizons that I've never seen
Oh, I'd like to take just a moment
And dream my dreams, oh dream my dreams
And dream my dreams, oh dream my dreams
Woah, woah, zoom, I'd like to fly far away, yeah
Where my mind can be fresh and clear
And I'd find an Agape Love that this world long to see
Where everybody can be what He has meant that they be
Where my mind can be fresh and clear
And I'd find an Agape Love that this world long to see
Where everybody can be what He has meant that they be
Whoa, I like to greet the sun each mornin'
And walk amongst the stars at night
I'd like to know the taste of honey in my life
In my life
Well, I've shared so many pains
And I been entangled in so many games
Ah, but everyone finds a His Way
Somehow, some way, some day
And walk amongst the stars at night
I'd like to know the taste of honey in my life
In my life
Well, I've shared so many pains
And I been entangled in so many games
Ah, but everyone finds a His Way
Somehow, some way, some day
Woah, zoom, I'd like to fly far away from here
Where my mind can see fresh and clear
Where my mind can see fresh and clear
Whoa, O, I wish the world were truly happy
Living as one
I wish the world they call Freedom
Someday would come, some day would come
Living as one
I wish the world they call Freedom
Someday would come, some day would come
Oh, I'd like to take just a moment
And dream my dreams, oh dream my dreams
And dream my dreams, oh dream my dreams
Woah, woah, zoom, I'd like to fly far away, yeah
Where my mind can be fresh and clear
And I'd find an Agape Love that this world long to see
Where everybody can be what He has meant that they be
Where my mind can be fresh and clear
And I'd find an Agape Love that this world long to see
Where everybody can be what He has meant that they be

Ye shall have a song, as in the night [when] a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. [Isa 30:29 KJV]
Professor O.V. Estduh
Winnie-the-Pooh has been a childhood favorite for many generation in the Western World. In fact, numerous spins of these episodic tales have appeared with teaching about Taoism, Te, and other philosophical teachings...
The past evening triggered a short "day-dream vignette" of an old grey-haired physicists, Professor O. V. Estduh being accompanying by Christopher Robbin , Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Ol' Owl, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo on an journey in search of the Grand Forest of Enlightenment, a journey that starts at his observatory besides a towering Oak tree. As the ol' frumpty, dottering, bi-focalled O.V, Estduh gather his sensors, oscilloscope, and his decommissioned NASA satellite navigation system, he heads in the direction of the compass needle on his wrist-watch with the Winnie's gang in tow.
Then, bop..the first head-stop! And, pop, another in a step or so...Ah, another Ulmus americana indeed.. it seems that they are everywhere these days...If these were not crowding the focal region of the observatory's telescope, I likely would have found that Forest many fortnight past. Then a twirl, stumble, and whollop...Ahh, I have met another Cornus nuttallii, I see...
"Professor!" Winnie exclaims, "That wince is it a sign of pain?"
"No, it is the furl of discovery unfurling, my son!"
"Oh!", says Winnie..
"Professor!" says Tigger, "With these many woody wood woods which abound, I believe that Forest, ye star gazer's seek be found!"
"Ah, foolish Tigger, this not it be! Simply follow my lead!"
"Professor!" groans Eeyore "Those twaps and taps on your shining forehead impresses many a heart-pain upon me! Could this have been done, before it begun?"
"Ah, Eeyore cheer up, that dream of grand enlightenment shall be found before the setting sun!"
"Professor!" whimpers Piglet, "I am quite afeared that this promise of genius before a twilight's sun was offered on our last jaunt many moons after the dawning of a new day begun, when the our last cycle of the Earth's seasons was run."
"Ah, Piglet do not cry enlightenment is found just beyond that twinkle the end of one's sight!" Thwonk! "Ow! That hurt!" "A Carpinus caroliniana! How exquisite indeed!"
"Professor!" bounced, trounced, and announced lil' Roo, "Forgive me, if this soundeth curt, but that large swelling rosey bump, does it smartly hurt!"
"Aw, no hoppy little one, of intelligence it is a physical pun!"
"Professor!" Master Robbin asks, "May my friends and me be excused, this venture has been quite 'revealing indeed', but it must be that we are at the church house by seven for a Bible study, this my mother it shall please! Would you join us for a verse or so, plus a taste of snickerdoodles and tea!"
"No, poor Christopher! This is not the best time. It believe my answer lies just beyond that pine!"....then, off, ever-so-off, wanders Professor O.V. Estduh man of letter and such in search of diadems of knowledge among trees, thickets, foliage, verdant greenery and brush, in search of the very place of "enlightenment" wherein his journey begun in a rapid, headlong rush for a distant perspective of "perfection" that was as near a simple as a touch...a turn of thin a yellowed, patinaed page of ancient verse about a child floating amongst of reeds of papyrus.
Galoshes | Goggle Glasses
And for those, in search of Mammon, this is how "easy or difficult" the acquisition of wealth is for those who are in the proper position.
The other day, the author was walking along the streets of a downtown district in a MidWestern town, and he say an adult female, approximately in her late thirties, wearing bright yellow galoshes, in the light rain. And, a phrase crossed his mind. Was it spoken by a person at a distance? Was it something he had seen years before and forgotten? Did someone say "girl" while he was looking at these yellow rubber boots? Did it arise from the many WWW impressions made each day, in the numerous random adverts?
"Girl-loshes" , "Grrloshes", "Grrrloshes" and the thought of brightly colored rain boots with vibrant, fun cartoons and caricatures arose. Young and old might love such. They sho' did likes them Crocs.
But, in all honesty, the author would not kill, maim, poison, or hobble anyone for the "potential" profit that might arise from finding a vendor overseas who could produces a limited run of such a product simply so it could be sold under various labels of differing levels of quality is stores such as Wal-Mart, Kmart, The Gap Kids, Payless Shoes, and etc. And, the author would not droll over the prospect of holding control over a reserve of merchandise in some warehouse, that he could re-brand, sell, and resell in international markets, like those old Landlubber jeans or dare it be spoken, relabeled, Sears suits. Yet, some would.
The author loved his four-button Albert Nipon, but it was without a doubt the same navy banker's suit with a canary box-stripe that he saw hanging in a local Sears circa 1977. It was and is a beautifully tailored suit, that wore extremely well. It simply was not worth the $1.5K price asked for in certain markets with a Nipon label in the late 1980s, seeing that it sold for under $100.00 at season end sales in the 1970s. And, it was nabbed for a Sears price in the late 1990s after the classically-tailored fop fad ended in this market.
And, if he worked in a profession that might be enhanced by visualizations being projected in one's line of sight for being more effective and productive in his work roles, he might buy a pair of Google glasses.
Yet, being acquainted with a marketing representative from the Colorado "start-up" that tried selling these wearable computing products in the late 1990s for $1.5K with the very same processors found in them, when marketed after 2005, it seems that they were likely purchased for a fraction of their wholesale cost, turned over, over, and over again, plus refashioned for a new market almost a decade later at the same price.
The mad chase of mere printed paper based upon monetary standards, seeing that perceived economic strength determines value and one's public reputation among this fickle world is a fleeting, frangible, and a mere fantasy of respectability, is one for fools.
It is beyond treacherous.
This life has shown, well-intentioned men, women, youth, and children with an "idea" as simple as "grrrloshes", whether original or not, unnecessarily injured , hospitalized, or killed for the simple profit opportunity that arises from purchasing such products for a few cents wholesale and reselling them in retail outlets throughout this world. A venture which bears risks and might ultimately cost a business interest turning over the product more than earned, when considering long-term cost.
But, the simple chance at sums of money that some consider a fortune is sufficient for dishonesty, theft, and the resultant sins. But, the implicit premise is that "stupid is what stupid does". If stupid kills, stupid shalt be kilt. No more. No less.
Stop..Hunt...Peck...Think...If you will kill for the possession of wealth which is not yours, could not someone do you the same way...Or, are you the most evil individual in this world...You can claim such a title, if you choose. The author would not suggest such...
Matthew 7:1-5
So while, one might rejoice that they are fulfilling His Word when he displaces a person from a "blessing" that he feels this person should not have, whether that blessing be one of physical or spiritual provision, based upon this or that scriptural criteria, read Matthew 7:1-5 (KJV,NIV,NASB). Then, prepare for the same loss!
Finally, Happy Pills
A short stay in a waiting room a year or so ago, reinforced one simple lesson...
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. [1Ti 4:12 KJV]
Children and Youth have a remarkable sense of righteousness and wickedness...
A teenager whose parent insisted that she be given tranquilizing medications because her adolescent behaviors were beyond what she could manage, said, "if dope made anyone happy, every crack-head, pot-head, alcoholic, pill-popper, meth-head, and fiend in the world would be happy. They take that stuff, because they are unhappy and cannot deal. And, their life situations never get any better. I can deal. My problems are not that great!" The healthcare providor was kind. Which is a rarity! She told the parent that, based upon her clientele, this young woman's issues were not such that any medication would be required. Then, the parent started asking for some, because she could not "deal".
And, in reality, most of the men, women, youth, and children who are placed on this class of medication are the last one's who should be taking such. As for the professionals who provide these light narcotics, tranquilizers, stimulants and the rest of the "Dr. Feelgood" products of this modern era, they problem should be medicating themselves and those who feel that the prostitution of minor personal problems merits the long-term mayhem that results, be it unneeded homicides, suicides, assaults, and, yes folks, possibly minor and major wars.
A famous result from Chaos Theory during the mid-1980s states that a butterfly flapping her wings in the South America thicket along the Amazon can ultimately cause horrible storms in distant regions of the globe. Whether this be true or a romantic mathematical fantasy, the small "trim-tab" on a gigantic rudder steering a supertanker, is likely the smallest part of the series of mechanisms that control the vessel's direction. That hastily scribbled prescription in a "five-minute" assessment of a few decades worth of dysfunction arising from the many social influences found in a land of promised dreams might ultimately rob the prescription-writer of his or her's greatest life dream or might be the hapless harbinger of his or her greatest nightmare, a culmination of one's greatest fears and phobias.
So, for those who are seeking a better "happy pill", before taking a chemical sandwich with each meal becomes an everyday fact of life, buy a bag of Dubble Bubble gum balls, enjoy some uplifting music, Gospel for those who were raised in such a tradition, read something that strengthens your heart and mind, not something that simply etches more unhealthy images, sounds, or platitudes. Your focus shall be your ultimate destiny...
As a man thinketh in his heart...so is he...
Yea, "This I hab seen" is mine testimony.
At this is a post for the author by the author, because he truly has thrown the lot of humanity out, albeit a few descent apples might have resided in the barrel...
So, if someone reached this point in this conversation, on of many that this madman has had with himself, see if you can engage in a discussion with Jonah under that withered tree and see if he cares enough that he will share some advice.
As, for this maniac, he has been told that he should only be concerned about himself by nearly everyone who has gotten what they needed from him, when he offered assistance in their times of apparent distress. So, why should he offer the very "simple" advisements that they initially ignored which resulted in their pathetic personal positions in the first place.
As far the author, he is praying for the resolution of this one mystery...the reconciliation of a collection of seemingly contradictory scriptures...
Then one of them, [which was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying,
Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. [Mat 22:35-40 KJV]
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. [Mat 28:16-20 KJV]
[Notice the phrase: "but some doubted" ]
and, this final contradictory seemingly contradictory verse..
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. [Mat 7:6 KJV]
And, the intuitive resolution is found in:
And [Jesus] went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in [her] body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. [Mar 5:24-34 KJV]
And, the supporting scripture...
But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. [Heb 11:6 KJV]
And, for the those who dare read Hebrews 11-12 without the chapter of verse delineations...
Emphasizing the following passage..
And others had trial of [cruel] mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and [in] mountains, and [in] dens and caves of the earth.
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. [Heb 11:36-40 KJV]
Faithfulness does not guarantee any manner of physical comfort or wealth....And, for many of the "evil among us" this simple statement of faith is a license for theft, murder, and numerous acts of carnal warfare on their part against innumerable innocent men, women, and children.
Do not ask the author for the answer on this one. Ask Jonah. This still quite a mystery for him.
May the Beatitudes which accompany Faith Be Yours.
